As I was watching President Obama address to the Congress about his health care plan reform, I could not let pass the opportunity to comment about his great capability as a speaker. Regardless the advantages or disadvantages of his plan, it is clear that the Presidency of the U.S. has a very intelligent and persuasive person working in the main office of the White House. For instance, it can be counted the number of times that President Obama was applauded during his speech. Certainly, President Obama is able to join the majority of the people, including congressmen and senators, around the same topic, even when there are particular individuals that do not understand the moment that the nation lives, and show a lack of patriotism through misplaced comments that only indicates particular interests.

PatoXavier,
ReplyDeleteI did not have a chance to watch the speech, but as soon as I can, I will find it online and watch because it is an important subject which I support for the most part.
Also, Obama is a great politician who can give tasteful and sharp speeches like A. Lincoln, Martin Luther, and many others.
Thank you so much for bringing this issue on your blog. I think it is a good beginning.
Good luck with your blog.
Patricio,
ReplyDeleteI think that we are destined to be friends, first Rahim's class and now I am assigned to your blog. I look forward to getting to know you 1,000 times better in the upcoming year :-)

I've seen the video too, it's on cnn.com and it's really amazing how he made the speech. His health care policy changing is also to solve one of the biggest controversy in America.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to viewing your opinions about the current issues in our society. I enjoy seeing different viewpoints. That being said being a great speaker like Obama does not automatically translate being a great leader.
